The Epicot International food and wine festival starts Sept 30. Its a 45-day food and wine festival which celebrates international cuisine and drink.
The food and wine festival features appearances of celebrity chefs, Eat to the Beat! concerts, demonstrations and seminars, weekly Party for the Senses grand tasting events, book signings, wine schools and other events. The food and wine festival also offers special dinner from several resort restaurants.
The attractive part of food and wine festival is the World Showcase Promenade, in about 25 international marketplaces. Each marketplace sells tapas-size servings of several dishes of that country's cuisine, as well as a local wine, beer or cocktail. The new marketplace this year offers Kalua pork sliders, tuna poke with seaweed salad and lotus root chips (Hawaii); ropa vieja with rice and jerk-spiced chicken with mango salsa (Caribbean); and calamari salad and Linguica sausage (Portugal).
The food and wine festival starts from Sept. 30 to Nov. 13. The One-day park admission fee for adults being $85 and for ages 3-9 being $79.
